How To Make Them Like You On A First Date

By Georgina Klass

What would life be like without dating? Even if you have no intention of finding a long-term relationship, whether it's online dating, going on a spontaneous date with someone you just met or agreeing to a blind date that your friend sets you up on, at any age it's good to have fun and get out on the dating scene.

Breakups often inspire people to get back into dating. Sometimes the inspiration can come simply by the desire to live your life to its fullest extent. So in order to get the utmost satisfaction out of your dates, you should learn to be a great dater and make a fabulous impression on whomever you end up going on a date with. I've put together some awesome dating advice that will help you with first date nerves:

Feel comfortable in your clothes but look good: this shows that you want to make an effort to impress and will immediately make you feel more confident when their body language shows that they are impressed. There's no need to dress to the nines but go one step further with your dress than you might have done ordinarily;

⦁ Ask lots of questions and maintain eye contact: there's nothing worse than a self-involved person. If you can't talk about anything other than yourself then you will give off the impression that you won't be able to form a healthy relationship by allowing each person in the relationship to open up. Even if you are just nervous. Eye contact is the secret body language weapon as it instantly conveys attraction and the eyes are some of the sexiest parts of the body. A good tip to follow is that when you have said something about yourself, a fact or an opinion that you hold, you can then ask that as a question to someone else. For example, if you're talking about something you like, when you finish, ask "what do you think about x?"

Do some of the work on the date. You'll have more fun if you also woo them! Just think that you get out of a situation what you put into it so by not bothering and making them put all the work into it, you will probably find that you don't enjoy it that much, there's been no chase;

Confidence is sexy. There's no denying it. Being able to show a quite confident side to yourself will always attract anyone. It's proven. Don't be arrogant. Try and bolster up a bit of confidence on a few occasions and you'll find it much more natural going forward. Oh, and don't worry about making a fool of yourself, everyone does sometimes - its endearing;

Perhaps the most important tip is to be yourself if you're looking to find that special someone. If not, then ignore that and just have fun and remember to show the other person a good time!
